87S accident 155K (2.0L 16v) }
91T still going 178K (2.3L) } none have needed a timing chain
94CS still going 127K (2.3L) }
my old 94 Mistubishi 3000GT VR-4 needed a new timing belt every 60K or else. But then that car, and company, was a problem to begin with.
my 79 Fiat Spider 2000 gets a new timing chain every other summer, regardless of mileage (even though it only gets about 3K miles a summer)
i've probably jinxed myself now, but the Saab timing chain seems to be very durable.
