I like PBR Deluxe too, probably rotors are OK.

I usually change rotors every other pad change, just on principal. I just loaded some metalmasters on the front, which makes the third set of pads on this car at 130k. The rotors looked fine, and the metalmasters were an experiment. They seem to be working fine.
I and a lot of saabneters have had great luck with the PBR Deluxe. They also make the semimetalic Metalmasters. On my wife's '95Aero, Metalmasters (MM) were scary for the first few stops in the morning, or any first stops. They seem to take a few stops to get up to full braking. I replaced with Deluxe, and no problem.
Just put the same MM on the CSE a bit over a month ago, and they have been much better on this car. Can't explain it, other than different rotors. Still a bit soft on the first few stops, but not the "Oh Shucks" wake up that I got from the Aero.
My recommendation is the Deluxe unless you are doing a lot of hard braking. Also if the rotors look worn or rough, just replace. Also good advice about using the allen screws to back off the caliper, it's pretty slick actually!
If this is your first brake job, it may be worth stopping by the Library to review some general disc brake replacement advise. Then review Saab specific directions. Also read up on breaking in or 'bedding' the brakes.
