I just had my 1988 9000T at the indy to redo a helicoil in the cylinder#3. That was all fine and dandy, but as I was driving home I has pretty persistent missfires at idle (ie very lumpy). Accelerated awesome.
I came home and pulled #1 (don't want to tough #3 for a day or so so the permetex cures). What did I pull out? Bosch FR7DC plugs. These are resistor plugs and an unknown heatrage to me. I was content with my usual BCP7EV but apperently the idly uses bosch only...he specialised in MErcs go figure.
Could this plug cause the lumpy idle? I'll try tomorrow night to pull the plug out of #3 and put new 7EVs in, just wish the insert doesn't keep coming out with the plug (I usually only get one plug change then the insert fuses to the plug and it all comes out en mass) sigh.
