Bought the core from a sponsor here, had indy install for around $250, works perfectly 6 months later. This was literally the garage on the corner, not even a Saab specialist. There are some things an indy can't do, like fix cruise control systems, but the heater core and motor seem to be pretty straightforward. If you get the blower motor (recommended) get the one that comes with the fan cage attached to it as the old cages are hard to get off. So they say. Good luck.
