TCS parts that has been upgraded through the years>>> Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Part numbers..., Christophe, Wed, 29 Oct 2003 20:28:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Bleeder/dump valve (about 3-4 upgrades) Last P/N 4015202
Throttle body (4 times)Last P/N 9170705 (whole kit 8822348)
ETS ECU (4 times)
Accelerator pedal potentiometer (2-3 times)
Kick down motor (1 time)
Kick down motor mounting bracket (1 time)
The last 4 items are depending on model year and auto/stick shift, so it is several part numbers for them.
In 94-95 only stick shift was equipped with TCS, that could be a reason why they seems to be less prone to failure. Automatic cars have several more items in the system interacting with each other.
And the 94 1/2 year and up stick shift have several items upgraded that doesn't fit the older models, with more gold plated connectors.
My personal take on this is that IF the technician knows what he's doing AND the customer is willing to SPEND some money on the car, it can be repaired.
