er replacement unless you suspect a serious damage to your caliper. Brake shops and dealers make a killing on them, but there is only 3 moving parts in any caliper. Two guide pins/bolts and the pison. You can disassemble these yourself and hone the cylender/piston with light sanding/emery cloth. New seals are simple, new guide pin bolts are cheap. Too many people do their brakes and don't lube their guide pins prior to re-assembly. $60 bucks isn't much, but 2x60= 120. I would gladly spend an hour in my garage with a new seal kit, rather than spend $120 bucks on rebuilts.
