to make sure it is a good connection to grd, this is just to make sure. The dash light is in paralell with the heater grid and each are grd'd at seperate locations. This light indicates when there is power on the buss out of the relay socket to the window grid. An indicator/test light. Can you look at the bottom of the relay panel where the relay plugs in? In my 93 book it shows it as behind the glove box fuses. If you have ACC then the relay is just normal relay but it is a timer/relay if you have the manual heater controls. The ACC does the timing internally. Either way the power comes from fuse 18 in that panel which is batt hot, thru fuse to relay blades in=#30 out=#87. Just because the relay 'clicks' don't trust til you verify by the dash indicator light that you have power outgoing. Doesn't matter what shape the back window circuit is in, it doesn't effect what the lamp is telling you. If you have a resistive connection around the relay power blade sockets the current will be restricted and the load of the window will drain all the limited current getting thru the bad connection too quickly and not let any voltage (electtical pressure) to build up, thus the lamp won't have enough pressure to force current thru it to light it up. Think of a kink in a garden hose= if it is kinked no pressure = no force out of hose= no spray.
