yes I was a bit embarassed when I read Quasi on the subject as I have not been using the stuff. Hard to find here in NZ with the local autoparts people but after many calls and a blunt 'trust me I know I need it' to them they managed to find it in their inventory (permatex brand) - I will be picking some up this afternoon.

Plugs get changed every 6 months rather per x miles and have been gapped to 1.0mm.

I will let the bb know if the grease was all that it took. If I end up trying to rebuild a cassette as per Pa Taket then I will also keep you up to date on the many mistakes I will no doubt make on the way :-)
