That's the message I'd expect to see on a regular basis within any remapped ECU that purports to bypass the TCS system. Places like Maptun specialize in revising factory engine maps, which will give you big horsepower gains, but often overlook things the Saab engineers knew (hmm, better not max out horsepower at this rpm because we'll destroy first gear in the process, etc.).

TCS errors are usually the result of nonconforming parameters being passed from any number of sensors, valves, etc. and confusing the ECU. But remapping cannot eliminate these inputs because those items are also part of the process of stabilizing idle, compensating for sudden throttle movements, operating cruise control, etc. I don't believe it's possible to store permanent constants in place of the electronic signals these devices provide because the ECM's capacity to store information is minimal and not designed in that fashion.

In short, remapping an ECU is one thing, telling it how to control the engine under a variety of engine load, rpm, temp conditions. Convincing it somehow that TCS does not exist or that "all is well" with it would be difficult if not impossible, and run into a great deal of money -- far more than the cost of a shiny, little-used non-TCS car. As long as those sensors and switches are there and plugged in, they will always be providing their variables to the ECU.

At least, that sounds good to me...
