I just got a 1996 9000 CS Light Pressure Turbo... The engine feels very solid when driving, but when stopped in drive it shakes quite a bit... not violently, just enough that you notice... mirrors, etc. all rattle. When shifting into neutral, this helps the problem quite a bit but doesn't exactly solve it... it still shakes a tiny bit. When the car is stopped in drive the RPM needle sticks pretty tight at 950RPM which seems like a nice stable point aside from the resonance it produces. Would it help to have the idle RPM taken up to 1100 or down to 800?... or is this a more serious issue, perhaps with the tranny since the gear does makes a difference?

My mechanic seemed to feel that it is a typical thing with 9000's and not to worry, but I don't know that I'm satisfied with that.

any info would be of great help...thanks.
