to have less problems than the automatic (less computer gadgets).
If you start out with a new set of vacuum hoses, red/white check valve and a new bleeder valve and also check (and maybe replace) the turbo by pass valve, you are probably good to go.
Also clean out the throttle body.
And when and if the system start to go bad, have the throttle body replaced with the new style (IF the car have the old one now) and properly calibrated by a Saab mechanic that knows his stuff.
The key here is to find a shop that knows how to work on these cars/systems.
