can jumper cables throw a code?

my 92 aero threw some codes, I cleared em, it was all good. The battery in my SPG was dead so I jumped it with the 9000. (with the thought of throughing a code in the back of my head - I know how tempermental these cars are) I was very aware of what I was doing, terminals on the SPG and used the chassis for ground on the 9000. Spg started right up. Packed everything up. 9000 is fine. I parked the 9000, got in it about an hour later and BANG! TCS light. I left an earlier post (fri 5) reguarding the codes.
The thought just occured to me that perhaps the "jumping from" may have induced a code? Hmmm, any thoughts?
