...although the blower still runs, it is now drawing so much amperage to do so that it's cooking the resistor as soon as you replace it. Generally, your fan will sound like there's a sparrow stuck in your dashboard for awhile before it fails (which often presents itself as the fan being on high speed constantly), but not always.
The ACC should give you its codes, as I recall. Once it indicates how many faults (one in your case) I think there's a way to iterate through a couple of buttons to get it to display the actual code. You can then check the TownsendImports.com site where there's a list of codes and their corresponding indicators.
Where are you located? I'm in Connecticut; if you're nearby I may be able to read your code if you're still unable to. In the off chance that your blower motor is not the culprit, I might have an ACC II unit I can give you a deal on.
