Well After a couple hours I finally got it out...I would not have had to do this but as I was inserting the new voltage regulator one of the brushes let go and got lost inside the D#%N alternator...I could not get it out so I had to pull the whole thing out..
This is not a very pleasant job to say the least
I managed to drop the ps pump without removing any hoses , remove the bracket ( that top left bolt will be a bear to get back in) and then wiggle the alt out from the bottom..
I looked at taking it out the top but I can't see how it would ever come out that way...
Day after tomorrow I will put it all back together ( I hope I can remember what goes where) now I already have a new rebuilt alt so I am thinking I will replace the whole thing instead of just the Volt. reg Thoughts?? HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and Yours!!! THANKS TO ALL
