Yes the 9000 auto TCS has a kick down cable, it is operated by the KDW motor instead of the throttle linkage as on the non TCS cars.
I have never seen a KDW motor go bad, the fault code might be of secondary nature. The kick down cable might not be properly adjusted?
It sounds more like an ABS problem, but I can't say what triggers the ABS light to come on.
One suggestion is the ABS accumulator that is bad. Search this or the classic 900 board for abs accumulator for info.
