T5 was first used in some 9000's and all 94 900's. Just replacing the throttle pedal and throttle body would cause the engine control to go bonkers due to missing and improper signals form the missing throttle body and asociated components. This leads to changing the engine ecu and the different wiring the non TCS control requires. Then every thing the wiring touches is potentially affected. It's amazing what Saab did to impliment TCS, only to be replaced in later years with reduced boost at lower vehicle speeds. A case of fly by wire gone awry. I work with electronic transmission controls, but some of this complex electronic stuff they are putting in cars is nothing but a headache.
