over the bumper. Rally style. That way you add a fused seperate supply with a Bosch relay for power switching and there won't be any destructive load on the oem car headlamp wiring. Factory wiring is just enough engineered, size the wire, relay, and fuses (a power into the relay, & seperate ones for each lamp). On DC use 13.8 as the voltage in dividing by the wattage to get your amp load of whatever bulb you are looking at. I understand the desert driving, only car for miles and you'd like to see that road for at least a half of a mile up ahead. I had heard of a guy (don't know him) who, while stationed on a destroyer in San Diego and who did some desert driving, mounted a 4" round lamp bucket under his front bumper or his Datsun 1600 and placed what memory serves me as a 3905 or such 14V 100W aircraft clear glass landing light back around '71. Used it to convince the guys who didn't want to dim their lights that he should and (I heard) it would light up those nice green interstate highway signs from over 1.5mile. (I heard, cuz I would do anything illegal like that)
