i don't know if it's worth your time, as it's a bit of a hike from west springfield, but a few years ago i was stuck in lee, mass in my 88 9ks, and happened to get lucky and find an awesome guy to work on my saab. i believe the name of the shop is Larsons european auto, he found me a used ECU from a junk yard, saving me tons of money. as i was a college student at the time, money was a huge issue, but thankfully time was not, took him a few weeks to get to the car (it was also dropped off unexpectedly), but i've thought of driving my current saab there from hartford as i had such a great experience. i'd recommend giving them a call and getting an opinion/estimate.
