removal is obvious by sliding a screwdriver on a couple of plastic clips. To get the cover off, reach inside the grill with a small screwdriver and push the sides out. The cover will slip out to you.
To remove the fan, remove the ACC as mentioned earlier, then pop the clips which are now visible from the front. The fan slides out BACKWARDS into the dash. I pull it out the ACC hole and remove the harness.
I just pulled mine out after having cleaned a year ago. It was making noise again. I could not believe how dirty it was! I blasted it with a good jolt of air and lubed with graphite. It is very quiet now.
