...which is the valve to which the vacuum lines in question connect. The empty connection on the valve often sports a hose about 2" long, and is the vent to atmosphere.
Your electronic throttle is controlled by a motor connected to the throttle butterfly. However, there's also a spring acting to keep the throttle closed. Only if there's vacuum pressure present can the motor overpower the spring.
When all is normal, the safety valve is energized and held closed so that vacuum pressure can get to the throttle body. If the system detects a glitch somewhere in the TCS brain, power to this valve is interrupted and it releases vacuum pressure at the throttle body.
The valve commonly goes bad and replacement is the cure. About $80 from site sponsors. To diagnose, you can try swapping it for the valve located on the left front fender, hooking it up the same way. Assuming you have one good valve, you might be able to drive on this other one temporarily.
