1.) Virtually everyone with a 9000 of this age needs to have the heater core replaced. Mine just went last month with 125k on the clock. This does not necessarily mean your head gasket will go at all, though many do. What's wrong with green coolant? That's what most people use.
2.) From a stop, floor it and see if the wheels spin out freely. If they do, theres no TCS. If they are restrained and the TCS lights up on the dash, you got TCS.
4.) Its not recommended to just clean your engine for sh*ts and giggles. Are you showing the car in an auto show or something? If not, why risk screwing up something by sqirting high pressure water into an electrical/computer area? If you must clean it, many recommend putting dielectric grease on electrical connections. There are many posts on this, so do a search.
5.) Have the tranny flushed, or at least change the fluid. You may wanna switch to synthetic oil to prolong the life of your engine. If not, be EXTREMELY religious with oil/tranny fluid changes. You might wanna buy a spare DI, 'cuz sooner or later its gonna go and chances are good you'll be stranded. It takes all of 20 seconds to change.
