...and I've seen several 9000 Aero folks on this board state they're running the 205 (or even 215) on the Aero rim at a 50 profile.
Personally, I think the look is cleaner with the 50-series tire; the 55s look kinda puffy (I'm running 205/55/16s on my '93 Aero right now).
And you are absolutely right -- finding the correct rims for the 9000 is really tough. The manufacturers I've found with options that will fit at 17x7.5 with 4x108 lug/bolt pattern, 65.1mm hub bore (perhaps by providing hub adaptor ring), 30mm offset:
-- Ronal (of course)
-- Mille Miglia UK (nothing available in the U.S.; you'd have to import)
-- AT Italia via Tire Rack
-- Binno (can order directly from manufacturer; requires importing from Brazil)
-- Team Dynamics
-- ROH (what I'm buying -- they are an OEM supplier to many manufacturers)
-- Abbott Racing (Abbott has apparently determined 30mm offset at 7.5-inch width is optimal on the 9000)
