Urby,
I rarely take the car somewhere to have work performed, as my brother works at a Euro car shop, and we do all the work together. He was actually the one who had the car (In Vegas) and spoke with the dealer. I am sure that he was clear with them on his expectations, but it wasn't in writing.
I used to included letters with my keys (before my brother started working at the shop) and generally had good experiences.
I'll chalk it up as a lesson, and I'm sure he will too. He was quite frustrated. Mostly because he even had to go to a shop to have the thing taken care of. It's always a little nerve racking to leave your car in the hands of someone you don't know.
Thanks,
~P
