Clutch Pedal Problem / Master Cylinder Bracket

94 CSE has low clutch pedal release. I bleed the clutch and it works fine for a day, then back to low release. My instincts tell me this is the clutch master cylinder, but the previous owner just had it replaced 6 months ago.
Yesterday I replaced the clutch hose to the master cylinder. I also took apart the MC and inspected the seals and surfaces and saw no obvious problems there. The cylinder action does have a middle spot where it resists a little, but it looks to be in good shape.
So here's the lame part. I get it back together, bleed it, it comes to what seems like normal operation, then deteriorates back to very low release. After closer inspection I found the master cylinder bracket was partly broken. I managed to fabricate a piece of wood tohold the bracket in place, seems to work pretty well for now until I get it out and weld it. At this point the clutch is the same as what it was before I started.
My question is, is my clutch going out on me? Maybe the slave is causing the problem? The car has 109K miles and I know it needs a clutch, but from my research it looks like the only sign of clutch failure is slipping and low pedal is a hydralic problem. I'm getting sore from working on this car all the time, my wallet is tired too.
Thanks
Matt
