and my girlfriend is not allowed to comment.
tryiing to get on the freeway today producted a "popped cork" sound with little to no bost following. since i senced no grave issue i made it to the next exit to find this hose off of the AMM housing..what cuased this? interesting the fitted brass piece came out of the housing and not the hose of the fitting! so there must have been some serious pressure, why?
additionally this car (88 9kt 220k) has had miserable lowend acceleration/boost for the last year. i cleaned the AMM and tested it (for hunting idle issues) and found quite a bit of oil making it's way back thru the throttle housing to the AMM and now this. i should note that there is oil all over the area that popped.
do i need to replace a hooter valve or BPC or such? it has a new PCV...i figured i needed a new 02 and/or hooter for by bad acceleration...
what do you think gang?
