I asked this question on the Performance Board recently, but didn't get any response. Saabsavior has a nice kit that upgrades the fronts to 4-piston Wilwoods, but retains the stock rotors. It comes with spacers - I'm not crazy about spacers - so it will fit under whatever wheels you have. I have 16" Turbo wheels from 1991-1992 on my CS, with the Sportchassi kit. I *cough* upgraded to EBC Green & rotors last year, and they have been moderately better than stock, but they emit a slight grinding sound, and they aren't that great at stopping. Zimmerman;s do seem to be good, though I've heard a couple of cases of cracked cross-drilleds. Tires do make a big difference, as does suspension setup, state of bushings, etc. For $200 worth of bushings, you can tighten up your suspension a lot. The Abbott kit seems pricey, but, when you look at other options, isn't that bad. It utilizes the Viggen Calipers and Viggen rotors, with an adaptor. If one could find a set of Viggen Calipers and a machine shop to make the adaptor and modify the rotors for you at a reasonable price, it shouldn't work out too expensive... $1,000-ish, I'm thinking.... I've tried contacting Wilwood directly, but can't get a response. Baer doesn't make anything they believe will fit. I wonder if any of the kits for the Ford Focus or Mustang will work? The bolt pattern (4x108) and offset (35mm) are the same, but I don't know if that's enough to mean that they will fit. If it did, there would be lots of options... Maybe buy a Ford Focus kit from Wilwood, and have custom adaptors made?
Anyway, this is all I've been able to find out...
