Count on 1 full day each way.. mebe longer if not done this before.. there is a LOT of stuff to remove, and the damned thing is 'tricky to fit back on. The trans input shaft splines often hang up if you miss the exact insewrtion angle the first time.. suggest chamfering (file) the end splines before attempting insertion and again after each failed try. Seems they develop small Burrs that prevent engagement... real pain inna but stuff unfortunately.
Definitely DIY do able.. just tedious..be methodical and persistant.. and you will aquire a healthy dissrespect for Saab Engineers :-)
