In a post several years ago, he felt this was a more effective method of bleeding clutch. He did not specify vacuum method as I recall, though did say that he had even used a large syringe and tubing.
I've got the Motive power bleeder which is the pump up style with a resevoir. I dump a liter/quart of brake fluid in the pump, pressurize, and walk around to all four wheels and slave to bleed. Very easy, and seems effective for $45. Others have made their own bleeders from garden sprayers and bike tubes, but this just seems easier to me.
