leak on mold market pinhole of plastic header. Rad was clean as a pin which is inspectable by looking in via hose ports. Dealer had v. hard water in town so he changed to distilled water in his coolant changes. He noticed a huge reduction in coolant problems on his total maint. cars. Makes sense, don't introduce things into the sytem and the sys won't get coated with unwanted growth.
Your best bets are the tank cap to make sure you are at full pressure so it can haul more heat out and the thermoswitch & relay. Doesn't the 94 run the fan off of the engine sensor ECU though? At least the relay mine was totally run by the thermoswitch and it made a huge diff. Tighter repeating turn on point, old was sloppy due to mechanical wear.
