My advice? Pass on those but keep looking... Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Thu, 20 May 2004 19:57:56 In Reply to: toyota prerunner?, Ian Haddock, Thu, 20 May 2004 19:05:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I would not pay over $7000 for a used 9000. I got my '95 for about $7000 and have put close to $3000 into it in about 2years. The car is in perfect condition, cosmetically and mechanically, but the little things add up. Look for a '95 or '96 model with over 100k miles, and most likely the major things (heater core, motor mounts, DI, etc.) will have been done already. With the mileage on those cars your looking at, you'll most likely need to do those things within the next few years. That's just my advice, since these cars tend to last for a very long time. Good luck!
