...and both made by Ronal.
Aeros came on '91 and '92 Turbo Hatches and '93 Aeros in the U.S. 16 x 6.5. Flat center section with grey-painted center section finish, clear-coat on the lip. Over time, the clear coat on these particular rims is prone to peel/bubble over time.
Super Aeros came on all Aeros between '94 and '97. 16 x 6.5. Center section is convex, wherein each of the three spokes extend out and up from the hub. Center section is silver. Wheels' clear-coat appears to be less of an issue.
One final version of the Super Aero came on the '98 CSET. Difference was that there was no center cap. Exposed lug nuts, and a small, color SAAB emblem in the middle.
For me, I like the '94 - '97 Super Aeros the best. Not a big fan of the Aeros, which is what I had on my '93 Aero. Mine needed clear coat refinishing, so I sold them to another SAABnetter and bought some 17-inch ROH "ZS" rims -- classic five-spoke design, aggressive, in keeping with the SAAB look. Freshened the appearance of the car significantly.
