just to make that clear;-) Very few early Lh2.2 ECUs have been tuned...in terms of fuel chips. For 220-230 hp you can get away with 30# injectors, Rise in Rate regulator, ignition mods (a BTM works wonders), and a Stage 2 box at about 20psi, 3 inch downpipe etc...yes and you will need the bigger turbo for this...(230whp). You will NOT get 250hp out of 1988 2.0L with a T3 turbo. A lot of torque with the big boost, but you will be limited as the turbo will run out of steam. Nice to add a 1991-1993 non-turbo cylinderhead as well, to take advantage of the bigger turbo you have at higher RPMS.

for 250 and up HP...contact Jak on the Perf BB or do a search. Some (including me) are converting our fuel injection system to Volvo LH2.2...utilizing the low impedence (Saab is high) 30# injectors, Volvo ECU, Volvo Air mass meter, resistor pack. The reason for this is the AMM in the Saab is limited on the volume it can handle. It has been proven in tests that the injectors are about 90% duty cycle at about 3600RPM with Saab components.....so you see any bolt on fuel items are fairly bandage solutions when you really want to push the HP. The volvo set-up will provide accurate metering up to 300hp, and that has been tested as fact as well.

I'm using a T63 turbo in my 889KT....it's on my bench though.......;-)

have fun!
