that you wont bugger it up. Also, don't overthink it. I just replaced the thrust arm bushings in my BMW. I removed the whole arm from the car, took them to a shop with the new bushings and had them pressed out and the new ones pressed in for $12 US. The thrust arm is actually an upper control arm, and while different, there is no reason the torque arm can't be done the same way.
I didn't have to spend time contriving a home made press, use a saw to potentially damage the arm, or use the inferior 2 part or bushings. For $12 to professionally press them like the pros it was worth the money. I had mine done at NAPA (national parts chain), but I am sure a good machine shop in your local area can do it as well. It took them about 10 minutes.
