if oyu have the 2 piece manifold....remove the top portion and leave the short portion attached to the head. deal with that later if you want to replace the gasket (if not just leave it on)
you will be cursing to high heaven if you try to remove the complete manifold before pulling hte head
Organise your parts carefull with the fuel rain and injectors.
I remove the manifold and turbo as one piece, but I remove the oil feel tube at the back of the block(foolow it around from the turbo)-----as you need to move it out of the way enough to drop the manifold down (or lift the unit out-your choice)
soak the manifold nuts in Mooveit or something similar, as it not only will helpt the nuts break free, it lubricates fairly well, easing the removal of the nuts.
