It's really tough to wade through all the responses you get to a search.

Nonetheless, thank you Scott for all of the time you obviously put into giving us all of this, and to quasi and Bill and Tom Townsend and all the others with helpful sites. I've been using some other discussion boards lately for cameras and photography, and they are obviously not the products of as much effort and care as Saabnet, and the of maturity and helpfulness of discussions here is not present on other sites. I never realized how spoiled we are here.

As for the jokes, there is an important difference. Unlike people, the bulletin board doesn't forget. I had a great realtionship with a friend where we had already heard all of each others' jokes and stories, and yet we were able to repeat them all endlessly and they were amusing every time because our memories were not so great.
