Installed new t-stat and thermoswitch

It seemed like my car (93 CSET) was running on the hot side. After checking the archives, it seemed as if the 11 o'clock position was normal for the fan to kick in. Well, after doing a basic check, I found the thermoswitch was not turning on the fan on the low speed, only on high. I figured while I replaced the switch, I might as well replace the t-stat with an 82 degree unit and flush the cooling system. After I was done, the fan now kicks in on low speed at a little above 9 o'clock. I don't know when it kicks in on high, because the car is running so much cooler, although high speed does kick in with the AC like it is supposed to. If you have a two speed fan, definetly check out the low speed function, and wiggle the wires on the fan switch. If they are brittle or cracked, replace the switch immediately. Tom Townsend preaches this and is excellent advice.
