My 91 head unit had 4 holes on the sides and came with the handy removal tool. My 96 CS head unit has 2 holes on the top and didn't have it's tool. =( After trying several allen keys, coat hangers, nails, etc. I bought a replacement removal tool (wal mart $4) but it was for the 4 hole style. Bent 'em up so I could get just one end in and tried them horizontal and vertical. After some struggles I got it out. The trick on 2 hole models is to put whatever in (and probably all of my home made tools could have worked) and push up on the tool. The radio has tabs that have to be pushed down by the penetration to get it to come out.
