shows a different picture on their website. The canadian saab dealer said it the brass coated bolt with washer ... On the old '92 engine I took out the bolts had treads all along the bolt but no washer ... go figure.
In any event, I am going to have a look under the valve cover, to check chain stretch, top sproket and check the bolts if not loose, I will leave good enuff alone.
I am convinced I lost the 2.3t engine (at 243K KM) because of a leaky HG (I will post a picture later). The edge of the piston #4 was "eaten up" (1 inch arc) till the cylinder pressure (under high boost) blow the piston wall.
Also, I just realize that the newer engine does not have a block heater. How difficult is it to install the old block heater now that the engine is in the car. Clearance seems minimal. Eastern canadian winter calls for it.
