Ok.. I haven't gotten around to taking the manifold off just yet, but I decided to check on a few other things... such as the AIC, TPS and to ensure those injectors are clicking away.

I also decided to take a look at the AMM. It looked a little oily. Gave it a clean with carb cleaner and cleaned the terminal points at the connectors. Restart engine, and it runs completely differently... no longer rich and it sounds much healthier at around 1300rpm and above. At speeds closer to idle, however, it is still a bit of a mess. But it looks as though that when the PCV valve was blocked, oil vapour from the crankcase got vented via the tube from valve cover to close to the turbo and must have messed up the AMM...

I was impressed by the difference a bit of a clean of the AMM made.

Hopefully, remaining symptoms are solely due to the blown intake manifold gasket....
