Lots of oil nerds on " theoildrop.com " site would say that you ought to check for sludge on a car like this. Sludge eventually chokes these high mile engines, and overheating issues arise from restricted oil flow to far corners.
Auto-RX may be just the ticket for you, and can help prevent seal leaks in the process. Great stuff, and would allow a smooth switch to Mobil 1 or Amsoil or ? may give you another 100k. (auto-rx.com)
However, your car, being a non-turbo, has seemed to do well on good quality dino oils, as posted on that site as well. Check it out!
