Stock 97CSE max boost? (long)

97 CSE Anniversary m/t I just purchased the car and installed x/drilled rotors/PBR pads and an electric digital boost gauge(in the headlight switch hole). I want to get the car running as well as it can in stock form before adding performance mods. I raised the base boost from 5 to 6.5psi and can feel an improvement. However, it doesn't seem to boost more than about 7psi after reinstalling BPC electrical connection. I don't know what to expect with the stock T5 system, but it seems like I should be getting more. I have checked vac lines, cleaned the BPC twice, and took the wastegate hose off and got megaboost accompanied by fuel cutoff. Anyone know what the stock max boost should be on these systems? My saab T gauge goes past mid yellow while digital might reach 7 momentarily. Thanks
