It is an issue of available tools. Pressing out the old before you fit the new is a labor-intensive hit or miss process without a good press tool. My recommendation is to buy a new dogbone arm with the stock (rear) bushing intact. Cut out the engine side bushing with a hacksaw and replace it with a two piece poly mount.
If using the 'hacksaw' method on the top engine (forward) mount, you need to be careful and assertive: cut two sections up to the collar near each other so you can wedge them out with a big flathead screwdriver and a hammer. The rest is a simple finesse job with the hammer and screwdriver. You're bound to scar the heck out of the collar in the process, but if you don't go too far with the hacksaw, you should be OK. I was very happy I had the two-piece poly to insert in its place after that struggle so I would never have to go through that again.
Others have suggested bringing the dogbone to a machine shop to have them press it (presuming you don't have a press). After having gone through the process of creating fulcrums with a hammer with plumbing pipe I cannot over-recommend buying a pre-set dogbone, having a press, or having someone else press it out for me.
It is definatley a less than one six-pack job, but then again I started mine two hours before the sun crossed the yardarm.
