As others have said, be very afraid of the TCS. It doesn't work well in the snow, and when it breaks it can be very difficult to find a mechanic who knows how to deal with it.
Aside from that... I would have the serpentine belt replaced right off the bat. Replace the idler pulley and tensioner pulley at the same time. It's not a big job, and it will save you a lot of trouble. If the have not been replaced already, the idler pulley will probably die soon, leaving you stranded.
Apart from that, be sure that the steering and suspension is good with no play. See that the temperature gauge stays right around half, and if not, find the cause. A marginal cooling system will eventually kill the car. It's the cause of bad head gaskets.
There are various opinions on whether the timing chains are bad on the 93's. I had mine done just so I would never have to think about it again. The trick here is that if the balance shaft chain goes, it will take out the timing chain too, so don't go halfway and replace just the timing chain. Replace everything in there-- both chains and sprockets and guides. For a $2300 car though.... well, that would about equal the price if the car, so I guess I would just hope for the best.
These cars can have quite an appetite for parts, so be prepared. I've got a 93 and after two years it's a vastly better and sounder car than when I bought it, but it's appalling to think what I've put into it.
