This should only take you one to two hours depending on the tools you have available. I took me 2 hours including pulling the whole lower panel to drain the radiator. Just make sure you get everything you can out of the way of the thermostat before you attempt to get at it because you have to come at it from many angles. There are only two 12 mm bolts holding on the Thermostat, but there are also two torx screws that holds an arm to the housing. I had to get creativing using an adjustable wrench to hold the torx bit from the side so I could loosen the screws, but they are not in there that tight. Once you get the arm off you can get a rachet on the lower 12 mm bolts which you will need some torque to get off. There is so little actual work involved, but you are just working in a tight space.
