As Justin says, the only thing about this is that it's a little hard to get to. Other than that it would be a very quick job. If your coolant is fresh, there's no need to drain it all. I siphon out the tank, and then stick the siphon down the hose that goes into the water pump, and just get all I can. It's enough.
A few tricks: If you have a manual tranny, plug up all the holes on top with rags. When you open up the thermostat, it will dump right into the clutch and make for some really unpleasant driving. At least it did for me. Luckily, my clutch already sucked, so no real damage done. Also, clean up the thermostat housing before you put it back together. Use steel wool or sandpaper to remove any corrosion and make all the mating surfaces nice and smooth. Finally, make sure that both of the little holes in the new thermostat are at the top when you put it in.
The first time you do this you'll spend a bit of time deciding how many other things you need to remove to get to it. Everyone has their own tricks.
