The PCV check valve is the small grey/white (probably grey/yellow by now) valve that is in-line of the small hosing coming off the hose attachment that is installed in the top of the crankcase, just above the red DI cover. Remove the small hose from the intake manifold and blow into it. If there is little- to no- resistance, it's shot (you should only be able to suck air through it). Site sponsors have these things, though the dealer carries the updated version of it. Bigger, better, costlier.
The BPC is the tall, black thing that sits on top of the radiator and has 3 hoses coming out of it with an electrical connection in the side of it. It replaces the older style that was brown and shorter (as was found on the APC/DI systems). These things do go over time, are VERY EXPENSIVE ($250 USD), and allows the ECU to "talk" to the turbo to control boost. Try cleaning it according to previous posts on this board (I won't give you my way of cleaning it since it may not be the correct way since there are a few variations of doing this). Cleaning it sometimes helps, but not all the time.
None of us are veterans; there's always something else to learn!
