After replacing DI, Hooter, plugs, air filter, I am hoping to get some help from you guys (not the first time).
I have taken the car to the dealer and another saab specialty mechanic. These visits yielded 0 results, but allowed mutch testing to be done. Here is my quandary. And, I checked the 9000 boards exhaustively.
slow, slow increase in turbo boost pressure, I do not evolve past base boost until 4k - 5k rpms. Then I creep to full boost very slow.
I/we have check the hooter valve, waste gate rod, APC unit, computer, DI cassette, bolted the manifold (replace broken screws/bolts) tight, reset for adaptation run and more. (I cannot recall all of the stuff done)
When I pull the 'c' hose, I get the same action (as described above) My next thought is exhaust system, but I do not think it would do anything (unless manifold to catalytic converter was bad).
I have had this condition for a while and am now attacking it with renewed vigor. I came across a post stating that the air mass meter can go bad. Does anyone know where it is located?
Any ideas much appreciated. Since, I get full boost, I kow my turbo is okay.
96 aero, 150k
Thanks all!
