mods that were rendered usefull on my 88 9000t:

Complete Volvo fuel injection which is dyno proven to be ok for 300hp with a fuel chip.

BSR 3 inch full exhaust including DP

t3/t4 turbo w/ 360degree thrust bearing.... at 22psi peak

tuned apc for hte boost

manual boost control

ported 2.3lhead

MSD6BTM

water injection

bigger IC

Hyperboost HX diverter valve

so far the above were bought on a tight dime, all used or done by me;-)

koni shocks

jamex springs (bought used), bushings, poly trans bush

17 inch HRE 3piece wheels, bought used

lets not forget rebuilt cylinderhead, new rad, crank pulley, water pump, trans, timing stuff etc etc

over the years I've done a lot to my daily driver. the paint is original and exceptional, no rust. I've put on 1991 fender flares, lots of nice gauges inside, classy momo wheel, DDC trip computer. Interior is about a 8 out of 10, overal about a 7.5.

now that I wrote this I realise how 'cheap' I am, I think I bought everything (well the bolt ons) used, with exception to the vital engine parts!

I can still get buy by going 4-6 months with just adding gas, oil, etc...can't say that for a $500car payment.

but like everything, it WILL come to a head someday when it will have to be pulled off the road, at least as a daily driver

Best used investment: complete set of factory manuals. I have not spent a dime in a LONG time4 on repairs.
