As I have answered before and since I have the technology to do a calibration in a heart beat, I would NEVER do any TCS work without running a calibration sequens after I'm done.
That doesn't mean you cannot get away with a repair without doing it, but I wouldn't take any chances since I know the calibration can solve a problem.
So if everything works fine and you have no problem with the car, just keep driving and be happy.
But keep in mind that if you encounter anything TCS related problem it could be because of components not matched together in the ECU.
When you say there was no need for calibration when you changed the TCS ECU, that is only your statement and goes against what Saab say is needed when doing that work.
It's kind of weird because it is soo many people out there having TCS related problems and I rarely anymore have any problems with these cars. I just go in there and repair them the right way and the car keeps running like a champ when I'm done.
