Someone please confirm my suspicion.... Posted by AMG [Email] (#3110) [Profile/Gallery] (more from AMG) on Mon, 23 Aug 2004 16:50:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently replaced all the coolant hoses in my car ('93) and installed an 82 degree thermostat and thermocontact switch, all from eEuroparts.com
I ordered all the stuff on the phone and I just noticed that the part number of the thermocontact switch I received has this description online:
"Thermocontact 2 speed fan switch(3 wire) for any 89-94 9000, 87-92 degree range."
It strikes me that this switch is not matched to the thermostat. Right?
Does this explain why there has been no change in the high temp gauge readings when stuck in traffic?
Can someone explain what the effect of having a low temp stat and a high-temp switch is?
Any advice? Thanks. -AMG
